There’s no place like Nome!
Super sweet to see our families here when we arrived.
And a super long 190 miles of cruising today. Lots of ups and downs along the Iditarod Trail that required some sled fixing. We also had to gas up with the Nome city lights glaring at us.
Looking forward to a few days here to regroup for the next run after these amazing first 715 miles!

Just coming across all this - greetings from Nome's UAA ANSEP Acceleration Academy! We would have been thrilled to have you join us in the Academy to share your expedition mission, your research efforts and connect with our local current UA dual credit college students. They are currently taking ENVI 102 science class- "Impacts of Climate Change" and would have loved to hear/learn about your observations! Good luck on the remaining legs of your journey and consider connecting with Kotzebue Chukchi Campus & ANSEP students there, if you have the opportunity!
